pic2The 25th anniversary is traditionally known as the silver anniversary, but for the Greater Milwaukee Chapter, it was gold.

The Greater Milwaukee Chapter claimed the title of Chapter of the Year for 2020 at Tuesday night’s Chapter Exchange during Congress Xstream.

Greater Milwaukee, with a membership of 95 as of December 31, last took the title in 2015.

“Superior education, NPW, and community service outreach!” one judge said of the chapter’s success. “Came across as a very enthusiastic chapter. Would be a wonderful chapter to mentor other chapters.”

APA Executive Director Dan Maddux was on hand to celebrate the Chapter’s 25th anniversary, a year that also included supporting a local charity each month and buying The Payroll Source® in bulk so that members can obtain a copy for a lower price.

“They have a lot of benefits to offer for their members,” another judge said. “This chapter puts in a lot of time and details into their activities. It’s a great chapter to learn from.“

Northeast Wisconsin Chapter was runner-up, with the Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter placing third.

Kudos poured in for Greater Milwaukee in the Congress Xstream chat.

“Congrats Milwaukee!” wrote Kevin Valuet, CPP. “Congrats to all chapters and the winners!”

APA President Lois Fried echoed his words with, “Congrats to the Greater Milwaukee Chapter! I am so proud of you!”

Owhen Astorga noted that the celebration would have been different in person, writing, “I can just imagine the noise if we were in the ballroom!”

And Jim Medlock, CPP, summed it up nicely: “Congratulations to all the chapters, winners or not, as you all are great!”
