imgo-1This year’s recipients of the 2019 Complete APA Payroll Education Package and Wisely Pay by ADP Payroll Education Grant see education as the key – not only to compliance – but to their career growth.

David Scorza, CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP, ADP-CPS, received the APA’s grant, and Nancy Fletcher, CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP, received the Wisely by ADP grant.

Both receive registration, round-trip airfare, and hotel accommodations for this year’s 37th Annual Congress and a complete library of current APA books and publications, plus PayTrain®.

“Learning and keeping up to date is a big part of my job,” said Fletcher, Senior Payroll Manager for HD Supply, Inc. “I feel responsible for keeping our company in compliance and up to date on all the different state regulations and even all the new federal regulations that can affect us.”

As the APA grant winner, Scorza, Region Project Leader for ADP, also receives registration for any or all APA seminars for one year beginning with Congress. He said he applies for a grant each year he is eligible and knows its value.

“I applied for the grant because I believe in what it stands for,” he said. “Education is the key to success. I strive to educate others when approached with questions related to payroll and taxes.”

Wisely Pay by ADP also presented its Payroll Publication Grant to Kelly Seiltz, CPP, CPA, MBA. The grant provides a complete library of current APA books and publications, plus PayTrain®.

APA also bestowed education grants on another five members. The APA Course/Conference Grants went to Carrie Louise Hovell, CPP, and Trina Adams, CPP. Both receive a free registration to the APA course or conference of their choice.

Payroll Source Plus® APA grants went to Fred Weissert, CPP; Tristann Graves, CPP, ADP-CPS; and Timothy Wallen, CPP.
