The APA grants the Meritorious Service Award to members who voluntarily serve on various committees and/or at the local chapter level to advance the payroll profession. On Friday, nine members received Meritorious Service Awards (from left):

“For years and years I have come to this conference [Congress] and what I heard was, ‘Volunteer, volunteer, volunteer,’” McAtee said. “But what I thought I kept hearing was 'More work, more work, more work.' I now know that couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s not more work, but a lot of fun to volunteer for APA’s committees. Get involved; you won’t regret it.”
