Chapters Celebrate 15th Annual Midwest Regional Payroll Conference with Excellence

It’s not every day that chapters celebrate a milestone Statewide or Regional Meeting. This is why the local chapters of Missouri took our milestone statewide to heart. The Midwest Regional Payroll Conference celebrated 15 years of excellence at our statewide conference this October 11–13, 2017 at the Sheraton Westport Chalet in St. Louis, Missouri.

During the planning of the 15th Annual Midwest Regional Payroll Conference, the Midwest Regional Payroll Conference Organization (MRPCO) put their brains together to create a theme that would perfectly capture the momentous event. “The Gateway to Payroll Excellence” depicts the “excellence” of the payroll professionals who work diligently to provide timely and accurate paychecks at their job every day to ensure compliance.

The success of the conference was made possible by the profound payroll professionals, dynamic speakers, and innovative exhibitors who support and attend our conference each year. Our celebration included a wide range of topics on leadership, diversity, best practices, and legislative and compliance updates. Approximately 110 attendees had the opportunity to enhance their payroll knowledge and earn up to 18.5 RCH credits.

“It was a great conference, very informational,” said Lachella Ross, chapter member of the Greater Kansas City Chapter, “I learned a lot as a payroll professional.”

The 15th Annual Midwest Regional Payroll Conference also provided a platform for payroll professionals to share information and best practices during round table discussions.  The conference included a forum on federal payroll issues with a panel of subject matter experts.

While celebrating is a piece of cake, we’re proud of all of the hard work that went into building the 15th Annual Midwest Regional Payroll Conference.

“I give you a final round of applause for another successfully planned conference,” said Gayle Nicholson, CPP, Lead Payroll Analyst for Nestle Purina and chapter member of the Gateway Association of Payroll Professionals, “I very much appreciate your dedication to creating a great learning experience with added value of maximizing RCHs for those who need the credits.”

I’m proud to say we have a great team of dedicated committee members who are passionate about organizing and coordinating the Annual Midwest Regional Payroll Conference. The Midwest Regional Payroll Conference Organization is looking forward to planning next year’s conference in St. Louis in September 2018!
