Be Rewarded for Your Chapter’s Efforts to Share Paycheck Knowledge

This September it pays to combat financial illiteracy! You and every chapter member who volunteers for the APA’s Money Matters National Education Day (MMNED) program will receive an exclusive volunteer thank you package and other rewards simply for joining the MMNED mission.

Reap the Money Matters Rewards
The APA values you and your chapter’s hard work to spread important paycheck knowledge in your community. As a token of our appreciation, when you participate in MMNED, you will receive:

  • A thank you package from MMNED Sponsor Workday after you complete the workday-1MMNED volunteer form. Inside you’ll find a complimentary t-shirt, goodies to give students like pop sockets, phone wallets, and more.
  • 1 RCH after presenting at least one MMNED lesson.
  • A special citation from APA’s Executive Director, Dan Maddux.
  • Credit for your chapter in the National Education Champions Regional Contest. The region with the most MMNED chapter participation gets bragging rights!
  • Experience and content to use for your chapter’s Educational Outreach and Community Service Contest entry.

Important Things to Know
Volunteering for MMNED is easy but there are some important things to remember!

  • Money Matters National Educmmnedation Day is officially September 5. If timing is an issue, you and your chapter can present a lesson anytime between now and the end of October and still receive credit.
  • Your chapter can present as a group or as individuals. If presenting as a group, it is vital that each member participating completes a separate volunteer form in order to receive their thank you package and RCH credit.
  • If you can’t find a local school to present a lesson in, don’t be discouraged! There are many alternate options to consider like church groups, employees within your workplace, after school groups like the Boy Scouts, local trade schools, and more!
